Materials required:
Osnaburg or calico background - 4½" x 4½"
Small check for outer border: 2" x 4½" (2), 2" x 7½" (2)
Scraps for applique
DMC 6-stranded cotton: 520 (green), 221 (red), 420 (gold), 930 (blue), 3021 (dark grey/brown)
Vliesofix (double sided interfacing)
2 Buttons (up to 5/8" in size)
Pellon & Backing - 7½" x 7½" of each
Stitcheries are unique or custom, handmade pieces. Patterns are created by back stitching along the lines of a design using DMC or similar embroidery threads.
Hatched and Patched Stitcheries are designed by Australian Artist Anni Downs. She is an avid hand sewer with stitchery and applique being her forte. Anni describes her style as a little bit quirky with a touch of whimsy.
